Grade 0
5 – 6 Years
Grade 0 is our first year of the Foundation Phase.
It is vitally important that we ready the children for their next phase of schooling and their future. We do this through methods that allow them to explore, discover, create, and wonder about the world around them. Their day is structured around activities that are set out by the teachers.
If this Grade is completed successfully children can easily move to The King’s College and Preparatory. Our Grade 0 teachers have a close relationship with the Grade 1 teachers at the King’s College and Preparatory school. The Grade 0’s go on a little outing to the tuck shop at the school and spend half a morning with the grade 1 children and teachers in their classroom towards the end of the year. By the time your child moves into grade 1, they will be placed with the teacher that is most suited to them, their personality as well as their needs. The Grade 1 teachers also pay a visit to the Grade 0 classrooms to help the children become more familiar with them. Having happy children is very important to us and we care deeply for paving a road of success for your child, including an easy transition into ‘big school’.
If you’re ready for more info, we’d love for you to come visit us!
